Minimal, motherhood-centered photography created to preserve the little years beautifully; without the overwhelm.
The details you swore you'd remember. The weight of them in your arms. The way they reach for you. The softness in their cheeks. The tiny hands that still ask to be held.
You already know how fast this goes.
You're not interested in a rushed outdoor session you have to mentally prepare for or an in-home session you need to spend hours cleaning for. You want something calm. Something beautiful. Images that feel as true in twenty years as they do today.
And that's why I created The Mother Years Studio.

Alex photographed our twin maternity session and our family photos multiple times. It's so special to have such a sweet time in our life captured so beautifully! Alex made the whole experience enjoyable and seamless, from planning our outfits to receiving our images. She's good at what she does, and you won't regret having her as your photographer!

The beautiful, exhausting, blink-and-you'll-miss-it season of babies and toddlers and tiny hands that still reach for you.
I've been behind the camera for years. But it wasn't until I became a mom myself that I understood what it actually means to preserve something. Not only document it but hold onto the feeling of it. The weight of them. The ordinary Tuesday magic of it.
I created this little in-home studio because I kept coming back to the same simple images. The white walls, soft light, nothing to distract from the people in the frame. They felt different than everything else. Quieter. More true. And I wanted every mom to have that.
